High Vibe Highlight: Aloe Vera Juice

High Vibe Highlight: Aloe Vera Juice

The aloe vera plant is a succulent plant species and has been used for centuries as a medicinal plant. Aloe vera juice is a gooey, thick liquid made from the flesh of the aloe vera plant leaf. While it's commonly used to treat sunburns,. drinking this healthy elixir provides several health benefits which is why it's recently made its way into my daily morning ritual.

Some of the benefits include the following:

  • Alkalinity: A body with an acidic pH is a breeding ground for disease and an atmosphere where illness thrives. Aloe vera juice keeps those levels balanced to ward those illnesses away.

  • Skin Health: Aloe vera is a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins that may help protect your skin and may help reduce the frequency and appearance of acne. Aloe vera juice has also been shown to neutralize the effects of ultraviolet radiation, repair your skin from existing UV damage, and help prevent fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Nutritious Boost: Aloe vera juice is jam-packed with nutrients such as vitamins B, C, E, and folic acid along with small amounts of calcium, selenium, magnesium, manganese, vitamin B-12 and zinc.

  • Digestive Benefits: If your digestive system isn’t top notch, you won’t absorb all of the nutrients from the food you’re eating. Aloe vera contains several enzymes known to help keep your digestion running smoothly. You have to keep your internal engine healthy in order to reap the benefits from your diet.

I drink 2oz. every morning on an empty stomach and, so far, I’m loving the benefits!
